Healthcare/Hospital Support - Everyone deserves affordable Healthcare. Iowa's hospitals are also suffering from lack of funding which is then passed onto us the public.

Cancer Rates - Cancer Rates are skyrocketing in Iowa.

Eminent Domain - Against Eminent Domain for Private Companies.

Family Farms - Our Farmers need to be supported. Iowa has lost almost 9,800 family farms in the past decade.

Economic Stability - Iowa is ranked 49th in economic growth and is about to fall off a fiscal cliff with a $900 million deficit last fiscal year.

Property Taxes - Need to be addressed and kept low. Once Iowa runs out of money, property taxes will be going up.

Brain Drain - Iowa has become less welcoming to professionals including Doctors, Educators, and Business Owners
About Me
Born and Raised in North Iowa -
Graduated from Clear Lake HS in 2014, Eagle Scout of Troop 1030, first job was working as a dishwasher at the Other Place, and weekends were spent refereeing soccer with the North Iowa Soccer Club
Understands the Importance of Public Education (especially in Rural Iowa) -
Graduated from Iowa State University with a Music Education Degree and a Coaching Endorsement, taught 6 years at a rural public 2A school in Northwest Iowa as a 5th Grade/High School Band Director and 3 years as a High School Cross Country Coach
Commits to Community -
Member for the Iowa National Guard for the past 11 years and will continue serving while elected (not endorsed by the Department of Defense/Iowa National Guard) and substitute teaches at area schools
Taught the Value of Service to the Public -
My Mother was a nurse at Mercy One North Iowa/Mason City Clinic for 34 years and my Father was in the Iowa National Guard for 25 years along with being an engineer with the Iowa Department of Transportation at the District 2 Office in Mason City for 18 years
